At Southernlyon Designs, we don’t have a regular retail location, although there are some galleries and retail outlets that carry our products- they are listed below.  We do attend local and regional Arts and Crafts festivals.  We’re also pretty mobile, and we’ll happily come to your home of place of business to help you pick out or create that special gift or perfect pen for yourself.  This listing also includes the dates and places of festivals we hope to attend in 2010.  As we get more information we will continue to update this page.  Is there a festival that you would like to see us attend?  Send us feedback on our Contact Us page and let us know about it!

2010 FESTIVAL SCHEDULE

FEBRUARY

February 13 Folly Gras Parade and Craft Fair:  Folly Beach, SC

Celebrate Mardi Gras Folly Beach Style!  This family-friendly event features a parade down Center St. that may very well be unlike any you've ever seen at Folly.  The bridge onto the island closes at 2:00PM, which is when the parade begins.  Artist and craft vendors will be set up from 10:00AM until 4:00PM in the city park on the left side of Center St. as you cross onto the island.

MARCH

March 13-14 Tides of March Festival: Folly Beach, SC

Come out to the city park at Folly Beach which is on the left side of Center St. shortly after you cross over the bridge onto the island. In addition to the park filled with local arts and craft vendors, there will be live music.

APRIL

April 17  Sea and Sand Festival: Folly Beach Center St, Folly Beach, SC

Even bigger than the "Tides of March" come out and celebrate everything Folly Beach has to offer.  Center Street will be closed to traffic and there will be food music, and of course, your favorite local artists and artisans.

April 25  Mount Pleasant Blessing of the Fleet and Seafood Festival: 11:30 AM-6:00 PM. NEW LOCATION Mt. Pleasant Memorial Park

MAY

May 1 Blessing of the Fleet and Shrimp Festival: McClellanville, SC See http://shrimpfest.mcvl.net/ for details.

May 28-30, June 4-6 Piccolo Spoleto Craft Fair: Wragg Square, Charleston, SC

Charleston comes alive during the Spoleto and Piccolo Spoleto Festivals every year for a spectacular collection of visual and performing arts.  Make sure to plan a visit to Wragg Square on one of the two festival weekends to see local, regional, and nationally recognized artisans display and sell their work.  Wragg Square is on Meeting Street at Charlotte almost directly across from Marion Square.

So What About the Charleston City Market?

We are so fortunate to have market vendor Tom Hanna carrying our products in the market on busy weekend evenings and some days as well.  Due to the "lottery" nature of assignments for vendors who don't have a permanent space, there's no telling when he will actually be there during the day, but he is the exclusive carrier in the market of Southerlyon Designs products, and currently the only place to get a Southernlyon Designs Civil War Replica pen.

Ellis-Nicholson Gallery at 1 1/2 Broad St in downtown Charleston carries our corkscrews, new stainless steel bottle stoppers, and out best rollerball and fountain pens.

Charleston Crafts Cooperative at 161 Church St across the street from Tommy Condon's carries a broad selection of our favorite products, along with the work of 30 other South Carolina artisans. This is the best place to shop in Charleston for unique handcrafted gifts. 

South Carolina Artisan's Center at 318 Wichman St, Walterboro, SC just off of I-95.  Features a broad selection of our work, and the work of other South Carolina Artisans.

We will also be at some Farmer's and Artists Markets throught the warmer months including Freshfield's Market on Kiawah Island on Mondays, The Pour House Starving Artist's Market on James Island on Wednesdays, and Slightly Off Center, Folly Beach.  Call ahead at 843.813.5183 to confirm locations and times.
